2024-25 School Year

Registration Timeline 25-26

  • Thursday, November 14, 2024  |  4:30 – 6:30 PM: Open House for prospective preschool and kindergarten students for the 25-26 school year (prospective 1st-8th grade students may call the school at 614-718-5825 to schedule an individual tour).
  • Friday, November 15, 2024  |  9 AM: Application for new preschool – 8th grade families for 25-26 school year opens
  • Friday, January 24, 2025 at midnight: Deadline for applications to be considered on-time. All applications are reviewed after that deadline. (Families may apply anytime after the deadline, but will not be included in the first-round acceptance review).
  • Friday, January 31, 2025: Acceptance status emails begin to be sent.

Note for current families: An online application must be completed for all families applying for Kindergarten, even if currently enrolled in our Preschool program.

Age Requirements for 2025-26 School Year:

Preschool: Child must be 3 years old before September 30, 2025.
Kindergarten: Child must be 5 years old before September 30, 2025.
1st Grade: Child must be 6 years old before September 30, 2025 and must have attended a chartered kindergarten program.

Application Ranking

Saint Brigid of Kildare School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. Applications for admission will be ranked according to the following priorities:

  1. Children from families registered at and actively involved* in St Brigid Parish
    • a. Children with siblings currently/previously enrolled in K-8 (in good standing)
    • b. Children of current St. Brigid Staff (active at St. Brigid Parish or in their home parish)
    • c. Children of St. Brigid Alumni
    • d. Children now reaching school age
    • e. Children of families newly moved and registered into St. Brigid whose children have been in Catholic schools where such were available.
      *Active involvement ranked by date of registration at the parish, as well as regular contributions and involvement in the parish
  2. Children from Non-Parishioners with siblings currently enrolled in K-8
  3. Children whose families are active, practicing members of other Eastern Rite Catholic Churches that are in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church
  4. Children enrolling or transferring from other Catholic Parishes
    a. with parish schools that are closing
    b. who do not offer K-8 programs
    c. with parish school with a wait list
  5. Children of other, non-Catholic Faith traditions.

Acceptance

Once notified of acceptance, within seven days new families must pay online a $150 non-refundable deposit to the school, which will be used toward tuition. In addition, new families must set up an account with FACTS Management, our tuition payment service provider. Details on setting up an account and selecting from a variety of payment plans will be included in your letter of acceptance. The link to submit your deposit payment online will also be emailed to you.

Continuous Enrollment

According to state regulations, all families with children applying for kindergarten must complete the new student application process. Preschool students whose families are active, registered parishioners are guaranteed enrollment for kindergarten. Preschool students whose families are not active, registered parishioners will be considered with the above mentioned priorities and will be exempt from the new student registration fee. Families with children in the Saint Brigid of Kildare Preschool Program will be exempt from the new student registration fee. Children enrolled in kindergarten through grade 7 are guaranteed admission for the following school year.
