St. Brigid Child Care (before and after-school latchkey)
Hours of Operation:
A.M. drop off: 7:00-7:50 A.M.
After-school: dismissal at 2:50 P.M.-to 6:00 P.M.
Eligibility: K-8
The latchkey program follows the St. Brigid School calendar and is open when school is in session. Our staff will be here for latchkey at 1:30 P.M. on early release days. If school is canceled at the beginning of the day due to inclement weather, latchkey will be closed also.
The parish hall is considered our home base. We also use the cafeteria for snack time and the gymnasium for active games during the winter months, otherwise, we will go outside and use the playground area.
Our daily schedule: Check-in, announcements, change clothes if needed, snack time, homework/quiet time, physical activity, craft or free play. Younger students (K-1) are given their own gym time and space for age-appropriate activities as needed. Students from Bishop Watterson High School volunteer to help us as a service project. Their help is greatly appreciated.
Part-time (using 12 or less days per month) and full-time status is available.
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:14
Current latchkey families will be given priority for the new school year. Acceptance to the program is based on availability. If the program becomes full, you will be placed on a waiting list for the next available spot.

2025-26 Latchkey Application:
The latchkey application for new families for 2025-26 is included in the school application, which opens November 15, 2024 with an on-time deadline of January 24, 2025.
