Altar servers perform an important liturgical function by assisting the priest before, during, and after the liturgy. The responsibility of an altar server is a serious commitment. Altar servers are considered reverent servants and vital participants.

Elementary school students in grades 6-8 may attend parish sponsored altar server training, typically held twice per year. Once a student has attended parish training, he/she is then eligible to serve during school liturgies.
